After the war he returned to Germany to seek out abandoned aircraft, and later still helped Eric Brown had a lucky life in many ways, flying more different types of aircraft than anyone before or since he holds the Guinness world record and living to tell the tale.

Briefly he had a truly remarkable life as a Navy pilot in World War 2 progressing to a test pilot position and then after the war holding senior ranking positions in the Royal Navy. I read so many books, magazine stories and newspaper about people and the planes they flew but this is truly a 1st!

This paperback book has pages and measures: I was shaken. I am just amazed his luck to get seat times in British aircrafts but in Germany, Russian and American aircrafts as well.
